WiHPCA is committed to providing effective advocacy on behalf of its members and the hospice and palliative care industry. As part of our effort, WiHPCA strives to bring members and like-minded partners and stakeholders together to take an active role in promoting, through grassroots advocacy strategies, programs and policies that improve hospice and palliative care in Wisconsin. With your support and continued engagement in the policymaking process, WiHPCA can continue to make a positive difference and have a strong voice in the State Capitol and beyond.
WiHPCA Advocacy Action Alert Campaigns:
- Be an Effective Advocate for the Expanding Access to Palliative Care Act – Please contact Wisconsin’s U.S. Senators and encourage them to support the Expanding Access to Palliative Care Act (S. 2565), critical legislation that would provide increased patient access to palliative care and expanded support as they manage serious illnesses.
- Help pass the Telehealth Modernization Act – Contact your Members of Congress TODAY and urge them to support this important legislation to ensure telehealth flexibilities for hospice care are made permanent beyond the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. (May 2021)
- Introduce Your State Lawmakers to the Hospice and Palliative Care Industry – Contact your state lawmakers TODAY to help educate them on the importance of the hospice and palliative care industry in Wisconsin.
