Session Overview:

Hear from leaders at Livanta LLC as they provide useful insight on Patient and Family Rights from a QIO perspective. This presentation will be specifically geared towards the hospice setting.

Meet Our Presenters:       

Bryan Fischer

Bryan Fischer, Communications Lead at Livanta LLC serves as a primary liaison between the BFCC-QIO Program for healthcare providers, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and families in Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Historic Preservation from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA and has been with Livanta since 2015. He formerly served as Assistant Dean of Admissions at Villa Julie College in Stevenson, Maryland. Before joining Livanta, Mr. Fischer worked for the Department of Defense as a senior technical editor. Mr. Fischer is also currently a serving line officer in the Maryland State Guard holding the rank of Major.  He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He is an avid duckpin bowler and follows the Baltimore Orioles despite their continuing lack of success on the field.

Gina Westphal, MS

Livanta LLC Communications Team Lead Gina Westphal is based in Nevada, where she is involved in extensive community outreach that informs the development of informational and educational programs for stakeholders, partners, providers, beneficiaries, and their families. Gina holds a master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a certification in Trauma-focused Behavioral Therapy from Eastern Illinois University. Before joining Livanta in 2016, Gina worked extensively with veterans and first responders, providing therapy for those afflicted with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
